CM lays foundation of electrification and road projects

Ranchi, Sept 1 : Chief Minister Raghubar Das today laid the foundation of schemes worth Rs 223 crore including power sub-station construction projects in various blocks of Chatra along with several road projects.

During the programme, the CM also launched a book and also distributed smart phones among the woman self help groups. The women self help groups that had performed better were also felicitated by the CM.

On the occasion, the CM announced that a steel plant would be set up in this district while Kuleshwari-Tamasin-Itkhori road would be built so that the area can be developed as a major tourism hotspot. He said the people of the state want to move forward on the path of development and good governance.

He said with the help of the panchayat volunteers all necessary certificates would reach at the homes of the poor so that they do not have to run after the block and other government offices.

Das said by December 2017 Jharkhand would be made a Maoists free state while in 2018 all the homes in the state would be provided with electricity. He said by 2020 the state government would be providing houses to all.

The chief minister said as part of the digitization process the departments are being made cashless so that the role of the middlemen and corrupt can be wiped out.

The CM asked the fake BPL card owners to either surrender their cards or be ready to face tough action.

Addressing the ‘Sarkar Apke Dwar’ (Government at your door) programme at Kanhachatti block in this district, he said, such BPL card owners who do not fulfill all the criterias should either surrender their cards or else a secret probe would be done and strict action would be taken against those people who have the fake cards.

Das said the Central and state governments were making every possible effort to ensure that the poor and needy people got enough foodgrains to run their families.

He said the dstrict administrations across the state had been directed to make sure that foodgrains are supplied in time. He said the government had already finished the role of middlemen in various government schemes and services.

He said Jharkhand was moving fast on the path of development thanks to the vision of PM Narendra Modi.

The event was addressed by Chatra MP Sunil Singh, Chatra MLA Jai Prakash Singh Bhokta, Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma and Secretary of the Rural Development Department.
