CM inaugurates Rs 274-cr scheme at Itkhori ; promises tourism circuit

Ranchi, Feb. 19: Addressing the people on the occasion of inaugurating the Itkhori Mahotsav- 2016 and Vikas Mela at Itkhori, Chatra, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that his government will make a museum to preserve the prehistoric things excavated from the Bhadrakali vicinity.

He said that DPR is being prepared for the construction of 75 km Itkhori- Hanterganj Bodhgaya road which will boost up tourism in the area.

The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand abounds in forest and natural panorama. Apart from mines, it will be known for tourism also. On this occasion, the CM inaugurated and laid foundation stone for schemes worth Rs 217.64 crore.

He said that the state government is serious about providing drinking water to the people and working in this direction. To promote religious tourism, the state government is developing Deoghar, Maluti, Basukinath and Rajrappa.

He said that the government is developing soothing tourist places in Santhal Pargana also. The government is starting highway patrolling soon to protect the tourists.

Addressing the youths he said that we need to adopt scientific agriculture to boost up employment and yields. The government is endeavoring to give the farmers appropriate rate for their produce. To ensure this, the government has made Food Processing Park and departments are coordinating to materialize the schemes.

He said that the 2016-17 budget is the budget of the poor, farmers and villagers. He directed the DC to install solar light at Itkhori. Moreover, he appealed to people to maintain sanitation to attract tourism.

Chatra MP Sunil Kumar, MLAs Jai Prakash Singh Bhokta, Ganesh Ganjhu, Manish Jaiswal, president of Digambar Jain Religious Trust Board Tara Jain and HoD, Bodhist Study, Magadh University, were present on this occasion along with other people.
