Ranchi, April 14: Veteran leader and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) founder, Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, arrived in a wheelchair at the party’s 13th Mahaadhiveshan (convention) in Ranchi on Monday. A photograph captured the moment, showing Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren standing behind his father and holding the wheelchair. Shibu Soren’s wife, Roopi Soren, also attended the convention, arriving in a wheelchair as well.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren shared the image on social media, paying tribute to his father’s legacy. He wrote, “Not just Jharkhand, people across the country and the world look at respected Dishom Guruji with admiration. The creation of a separate Jharkhand state was made possible through his leadership and the sacrifices of countless revolutionaries.”
He further added, “We must nurture the grand tree of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, planted by Guruji, whose roots are embedded in every household of Jharkhand. It is our responsibility to honour the struggles of our pioneering leaders.”
Shibu Soren, now 81, has been dealing with health issues in recent years. The two-day 13th Mahaadhiveshan of JMM began today under his chairmanship. CM Hemant Soren extended heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all JMM workers and supporters attending the event.
