Jamshedpur, Oct 13: Former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi Sunday assailed Chief Minister Raghubar Das for failing to give ownership right to the residents of 86 bastis of Jamshedpur. He said the CM could not keep his promise even after so many years in power. He further alleged that the state government had wasted public money worth Rs 900 crore in the name of global investors summit. Despite huge expenditure, the government could not attract investors to Jharkhand, he said.

Marandi was speaking during a programme organized by Jharkhand Vikas Morcha in Bagunhatu. He said the state government should issue a white paper on the issue. He said the government had failed to secure investments for Jharkhand.

Marandi said ownership right had remained a poll issue for Raghubar Das for over 20 years. Despite remaining in power for five years, the CM could not do anything, he said.

Marandi said people would get clean drinking water if JVM comes in power. He said every farm would get water, seeds and fertilizers under JVM regime.

Also present on the occasion, JVM leader Abhay Singh said the government had spent Rs 80 crore on Moharda water supply project but failed to provide potable water to the people. He further said that unemployment had become a major problem at present.

JVM district president Babua Singh said the people should give Abhay Singh a chance in the coming elections.
