CM directs Health Dept. to provide better facilities

Ranchi, Nov. 6: Chief Minister Mr. Raghubar Das said that the fee for various health check-ups should be decreased & doctors should be appointed in RIMS against vacant posts so that patients can avail better health facilities.

He asked to appoint doctors, send the newly appointed doctors in rural areas & increase their honorarium. He directed to complete appointment process of specialist doctors in all 18 civil hospitals of the state so that people can get treatment from the specialist doctors in their home district. He said to arrange nurses, equipments and technicians in hospitals. He said it while reviewing the health department in his office chamber at Project Building.

The CM directed to improve health services in backward blocks of all districts on priority basis. He directed to fix visitors� time, ban unwanted entry and keep the RIMS premises clean. He said that the RIMS Director should see the patients twice a week, get feedback and do necessary changes. He directed to make revised estimate and complete basic infrastructure including building construction.

The CM directed all state govt. employees to attend biometrically and said that the salary of employees not following this will be withheld. He asked to start implementation of proposed schemes for financial year 2016-17 so that people can be benefitted from the schemes from the beginning of the next fiscal year.

The Health Dept. officers showed the CM some of the proposed schemes like offering mother- child kit to decrease mother- infant death rate, train the tribals for self- service, construction of biomedical waste disposal units in Ranchi, clothes for indoor patients, opening a 500-bed hospital in Jamshedpur like the MGM Hospital, 12 subdivision level health centers and purchase of ambulances for 100 C.H.C.

Health Minister Mr. Ramchandra Chandravanshi, Chief Secretary Mr. Rajiv Gauba, Development Commissioner Mr. R.S. Poddar, Principal Secretary Finance and Planning Mr. Amit Khare, Principal Secretary, Health Mr. K. Vidyasagar, Director-in- Chief Health, Director RIMS and other senior officials were present in this meeting.
