CM directs development of land bank at ‘Sidhi Baat’

Ranchi, Oct. 30: Attending to the people’s problems in ‘Sidhi Baat’ program at Soochana Bhawan on Friday, Chief Minister Mr. Raghubar Das directed the Jharkhand Land Reforms and Revenue Department secretary to personally monitor the task of freeing the gair majarua land from encroachment and developing a land bank.

During this program, Das held video conferencing with the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of different districts.

The Chief Minister directed the officers to take the people’s problems seriously and try to understand their grievances earnestly.

Referring to the money withdrawal by principals of 34 schools for school building construction and not utilizing the money, Das ordered the DCs to recover the amount from the principals. He also directed the Dhanbad DC to release Budhia Devi’s pension under Social Security Pension. On the other hand, he directed the Jamtara DC to probe the matter of illegal withdrawals under MGNAREGA.

Regarding construction of Panchayat Building at Gola Block, the CM ordered the DC to recover the money from the then BDO Mr. K. K. Besra and initiate departmental proceeding against him. RDD Principal Secretary Mr. N. N. Sinha told the CM that the officer is also accused of withdrawing another sum of Rs. 70 lakh.

Secretary, Building Construction Dept. Mr. K. K. Soan was asked to pay Rs. 1.14 lakh to a contractor of Ormajhi.
When the CM took up the issue of illegal occupancy of a multistoried building in the Argora Housing Colony by police personnel, the SP said that people felt secure owing to the police presence in the colony, but added that soon the said police would be shifted to another location.

It was reported to the CM that Naxalite groups were forcibly taking one or two persons from every house of Kohipart Hurda village of Simdega every night. In addition, the Naxalites beat the local residents and demanded lakhs of rupees from them. As a result, people are compelled to migrate to other villages.

Responding to this, the Simdega SP said that Manuel Dengra and Sudama Singh are trying to create nuisance in the region, but promised to arrest them soon.

Secretary to the CM and State Nodal officer Mr. Sunil Kr. Burnwal, Principal Secretary, Health, Mr. K. Vidyasagar, Literacy Secretary Mrs. Aradhana Patnayak, Principal Secretary, Energy, Mr. S.K.G. Rahate, Secretary, RWD, Mr. M. R. Mina and other senior officers were present during the Sidhi Baat program.
