Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today held a meeting for providing homes and basic infrastructure for residents of Ulihatu and Bhognadih.
He said it was humiliating that even after fourteen years of formation of Jharkhand the people of these villages were living without roof or ramshackle houses.
He instructed the officials to prepare a plan for providing basic infrastructure like drinking water, roads, drainage, community lavatories, solar lights, primary hospital along with houses for the residents of the villages.
The Chief Minister instructed the officials to visit the villages and ascertain the views of the residents of their needs. The construction work should suit their culture. He instructed the officials that the concerned departments should take steps for speedy implementation of the work.
At the meeting along with Chief Secretary Sajal Chakraborty, Development Commissioner Sudhir Prasad, Principal Secretaries of Planning, Tourism and Housing Secretary along with other senior officials were present.
