Jamshedpur: As the Nation eagerly prepares for the 73rd Republic Day celebrations, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a favourable weather forecast for the state of Jharkhand. According to the latest bulletin released by the IMD today, the weather is expected to be mainly clear and dry in most parts of the state during the next two to three days.
The IMD predicts a fall in minimum temperature by 2-4°C over southern and adjoining central Jharkhand in the next two days. However, there is no indication of any significant change in the subsequent three days. The weathermen assure that the rest of the state will also experience minimal fluctuations in minimum temperature over the next five days.
In terms of atmospheric conditions, a cyclonic circulation over northwest Uttar Pradesh and its neighborhood at 3.1 km above mean sea level is reported to persist. Additionally, a trough is observed running from southern interior Karnataka to interior Odisha across north interior Karnataka at 0.9 km above mean sea level.
Meteorological statistics from the past 24 hours indicated very light to light rain at isolated places across the state. Shallow to moderate fog was observed at isolated places over the northern parts of Jharkhand during the same period.
As per the latest temperature readings, Ranchi recorded a minimum temperature of 8.5 degrees Celsius, while Jamshedpur reported a slightly higher temperature of 12.2 degrees Celsius. The local Meteorological Observatory in Bokaro documented a minimum temperature of 6.8 degrees Celsius, and in the adjoining West Singhbhum district, Chaibasa recorded a minimum temperature of 7.6 degrees Celsius.
Despite the minor temperature variations and isolated precipitation, the overall forecast suggests a conducive weather scenario for the Republic Day celebrations in Jharkhand. Citizens and attendees can look forward to clear skies and dry conditions during the upcoming festivities. The IMD will continue to monitor and update the weather conditions as the celebration approaches.
