Cleanliness campaign launched under Swachhta Pakhwara in Jamshedpur

Adopt good hygiene habits in daily life : DC

Jamshedpur : As part of Swachhta Pakhwara, the district administration launched cleanliness drive at different roads, drains, and localities on Thursday. The drive was undertaken by Jugsalai Municipality, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee and Mango Notified Area Committee. Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee personnel carried out sanitation and cleanliness of streetand localities at Kadma, drain-road cleaning at Birsa Basti Sonari and cleaning work was carried at Babudih and Gwala Basti Bhuiyandih.

On the other hand, in Jugsalai Municipal Council area, Chappan Bhog to Chaibasa Bus Stand, Chappan Bhog to Railway Gate, Railway Gate to Gaurishankar Road, Gaurishankar Road to Idgah Chowk, Market Chowk to Purani Basti Road, Panchi Mohalla, ME School Road to St John School, Bata Chowk to DB Road, Gaushala Chowk to Bhakat Gali, Girls School Road to Bajrang Bali Temple, Cleanliness campaign was also carried out under Swachhta Pakhwara at Pardih Main Road, Old Purulia Road, FC Godown to Yeshu Bhawan, Tribal School Ulidih area.

Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla said in his message about Swachhta Pakhwada that the main objective of the campaign is to motivate the common people towards cleanliness. Along with the Municipal bodies, the general public also has significant involvement and responsibility in keeping the city clean. Appealing to all the people, he said that by adopting good hygiene habits, keep your home and the surrounding environment clean. Only when the environment is clean can we remain healthy. It is essential that all of us imbibe good hygiene habits in our daily lives. He said that cleanliness is an ideal which all of us should adopt in our lives.
