Jamshedpur: �Cleanliness and tree plantation are services to mankind,� observed JNAC special officer Krishna Kumar who along with brand ambassador Pappu Sardar went around various city points spreading the message of cleanliness and embarking on a tree plantation drive at Radio Maidan in Dhatkidih and Chhayanagar in Bhuinadih.
On an earlier occasion, Pappu Sardar while distributing saplings of flowers and decorative plants to general people from the Sakchi roundabout, had announced the message in the form of a slogan, �My plant, my child.�
The JNAC has put up banners and posters all around the city with messages of cleanliness and greenery. Krishna Kumar stated that JNAC and JUSCO have taken up the project in right earnest and their staffs are dedicatedly cleaning all city points round the clock.
Many people have been spotted taking selfies before these banners and posters. Today, two young girls took selfies before cleanliness banners in front of Manohar Chat, a popular snacks stall in Sakchi.
JNAC and JUSCO officials are exhorting city residents in their command areas to throw waste in the vats provided and prevent others from littering places. They are also being asked to plant saplings of fruit, flower and decorative trees to beautify vacant places and make the environment beautiful and friendlier.
