Jamshedpur: Bharatiya Bhojpuri Sangh members today put up a demonstration at Anna Chowk, Govindpur, to demand cleanliness and basic civic amenities in the locality.
The outfit members were led by the outfit president Anand Bihari Dubey, Congress member Banna Gupta and AJSU MLA Ramchandra Sahis.
The dharna was called off after the demonstrators received written assurance from Wheel Strip officials for starting the work from today.
The agitators said the drains and roads should be cleaned. They also demanded that roads should be properly illuminated.
