City School�s big �No� to bus service for students

Jamshedpur, July 7: More than 1 lakh students of around 50 private schools of Jamshedpur have to depend on god for safety while coming to school or going home.

Private Schools who claim for all-round development of the student have said a big NO to providing school bus for transportation of students.

A meeting held on the directions of DC Dr. Amitabh Kaushal, district administration and school management on Tuesday stuck to their stand. Administrative officials referring to the provision laid down by CBSE and AISCE board made the school management to be ready to face legal action.

But the administration was also ready to give time to take decision on the life of students and asked them to take necessary steps within 3-4 days.

Principals of the school said let them focus on providing the students with quality education. At the meet Principal of DAV Bistupur, Pragya Singh said that there is a good mechanism of auto and vans. If buses will run than more than 500 auto and van drivers will be unemployed.

Joint Chairperson of DBMS B. Chandrasekhar said that according to this every bus will have a teacher; schools should be limited to imparting education and should not be made to be involved in all these mess which ended the meeting. But before that District Education Officer Mukesh Kumar Sinha directed all the school�s head to submit a written report with a week.

At the meeting District Superintendent of Education Indubhusan Singh, JNAC Special Officer Deepak Sahay, Mango JNAC Special Officer JP Yadav, KSMS-KPS Director APR Nair along with more than 50 representatives of private schools of the city were present.
