City residents honoured at Bhojpuri Mahotsava

Jamshedpur: Several city residents were honoured at the second Bhojpuri Mahotsava organized in Allahabad. The programme was inaugurated by Dr Jagdish Govardhan, the Ambassador of Mauritius in India, family welfare minister of UP Swati Singh and Rajya Sabha MP Kunwar Rewati Raman Singh.

Pradip Singh, general secretary of Sampurna Bhojpuri Vikas Manch, was given the Bhojpuri Bhushan Award. Others felicitated on the occasion included Kaushlesh Tiwary, Rajesh Rai, Vijendra Kumar, Laxma Prasad, Sanjay Prasad, Dr Gurcharan Singh, Chandra Bhushan Rai, Uday Sar Singh, Krishna Pratap Singh and Manoj Bhavuk.

In the second session of the event, a cultural programme was organized. Renowned Bhojpuri singers Bharat Sharma Vyas, Neetu Kumari, Deepak Tripathy and Amit Yadav performed on the occasion.
