Give message of ‘Safe drive, save life’
Jamshedpur, Aug. 4: To make the people aware about the road safety a new initiative was launched in city on Friday.� The programme was titled ‘Riksha Bandhan’ were city girls tied rakhi on the wrists of auto rickshaw drivers as a part of a programme being organized by a private FM radio station and gave a message ‘Safe drive, save life’.
The programme held at Sakchi-Baridih auto stand saw RJ Smita, RJ Shubhra, Raj tied rakhis on the wrists of auto rickshaw drivers and appealed them to drive safely and follow traffic rules so that the lives of other people are not jeopardized by their recklessness. Kumar Nishant of FM radio station, said, ‘Our main aim is to make the people aware about the road safety and the accidents will decrease only when people think about the safety of themselves along with others’.� Shyam Kinkar Jha, president of Auto drivers association appreciated the work done.
