Jamshedpur : The mood amongst the saffron party workers in Jamshedpur is upbeat as the senior BJP leader took over as the CM of Jharkhand.
Each and every worker of the party should spread message in every nook and corner of the area. This will help us to cover a large area and results will be fruitful, said a party supporter.
Leaders of district BJP party along with hundreds of youth activists garlanded him and congratulated him for his success. They said that he was the only leader from the State in the party to bag the big post and it is really a matter of pride. Jamshedpur East , the constituency presently represented by Das, virtually turned into a partying zone with people queuing up at his residence at Sidhgora.
Das is known for his firebrand politics and, the one who is credited for ensuring mass development. Some people have run hereditary politics for decades together and never cared for the development. We want to unite the party workers and ensure a victory of BJP in Jharkhand too. The public are waiting for a change in the State after formation of new Government, said a leader.
Shouting victory slogans, thousands of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) supporters celebrated the thrilled and landslide victory in the State Assembly election-2014.
People with party flags danced, sang and shouted slogans in support of Raghubar and their newly-elected MLAs on the tune of drums. The party activists bursted firecrackers, distributed laddoos and sweets to each other. In the electoral battle the Saffron party emerges as single largest party in past 14 years.
Tendering to the nature of the partys verdict across the Jharkhand, BJP activist Pawan Agarwal said if it had been a fractured verdict then one can say that people had vented their anger against the government and that it was unstable. But giving BJP an absolute majority they have voted for hope and trust, he added.
Under the leadership of Raghubarji the waves of development will reach all the districts of state. You just wait and see very soon Jharkhand will witness a sea change for the better, said Jitendra Singh, an Agrico-based transporter and BJP supporter while distributing sweets to jubilant group of youths. That the first non-tribal CM of the state, 14 years after it was carved out of Bihar, hailing from the steel city, will usher in development for the region was also in the mind of the ecstatic supporters.
Raghubarji with his political experience (five times MLA since 1995) and assuming various portfolios in the past (finance, urban development and deputy CM) is well aware of the problems plaguing the state and would ensure that there is balanced development of both industries and agriculture and we might see the ownership status for urban slums being granted under his tenure, said another party leader.
