Citizens’ Grievances: Jamshedpur DC directs officials for timely action

Jamshedpur: Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi interacted directly with citizens during the Public Grievance Redressal Day held at the Collectorate office, where he patiently heard problems and complaints raised by residents from both rural and urban areas.

Citizens presented a wide range of issues before the Deputy Commissioner. Memorandums and demand letters were submitted on matters of public interest such as requests for medical assistance, encroachment on government land, harassment by anti-social elements, non-action by police despite FIRs, illegal construction in ancestral properties, installation of electricity meters, disputes related to Khatian and land ownership, grievances of displaced families, pending payments, non-receipt of gratuity, issues related to sand tender, demand for death assistance benefits, corrections in Aadhaar cards, ration card updates, and recruitment against vacant posts of Chowkidar.

The Deputy Commissioner took each application seriously and directed the concerned departmental officials to ensure speedy and time-bound resolution. He emphasized that cases which are legally, administratively or technically possible should be given top priority, and regular progress reports must be submitted on pending matters.

“Resolving the problems of citizens quickly and effectively is the administration’s priority. It is not only our responsibility but also a way to strengthen trust and transparency between the people and the government,” Satyarthi said, while cautioning officials against negligence in grievance redressal.
