Jamshedpur : Christmas is celebrated as a major festival in Little Flower School. One can hear Christmas carols in the morning before the start of school, during the recess and at dismissal, which the children really enjoy.
The practice of putting up special decorations at Christmas is the most wonderful part of the celebration in school, and the most pleasurable moment for the children is the time spent in decorating their classes for Christmas. Bells, candles, candy canes, stockings, wreaths, and angels are seen hanging in the classrooms, windows and doorways.
When the children entered the school this morning, there was festivity in the air � the stage was festooned with colourful streamers and balloons. Decorations in the colours of Christmas � red, green and gold � were hung in the corridors, music played from speakers, while brightly decorated Christmas trees were placed in prominent places in the school.
The theme of the assembly was �the festival of Christmas�. A few students depicted the characters of the Nativity on stage, amid the singing of carols, while others in bright and colourful costumes sang and danced for the school.
Immersed in the spirit of Christmas, the members of the Glee Club sang carols and entertained the students. The best part of the celebration was the entry of Santa Claus � this year he rode in on a bike, to the squealing and yelling of the students at the assembly.
Santa sang and danced with the staff and students and distributed sweets everyone. The celebration ended with the students singing Merry Christmas and Feliz Nevidad.
