Jamshedpur, Nov. 14: Hill Top School celebrated Children’s Day on November 13, a day ahead, for students of Nursery to Class 6 and on November 14 for students of Classes 7 to 12.
The students of Nursery and LKG enjoyed the picnic at school, while UKG students went to Gopeshwar Park, Telco for a picnic. The students of Class 1 to 6 enjoyed a magic show by the magician Tantubai, who entertained them with his tricks. Class 7 to 12 students enjoyed Chhau dance.
The Manbhum style of Chhau dance was presented by the Natraj Kala Kendra Choga group under the leadership of Mr. Prashant Kr. Mahato at Hill Top School as a part of the Childrens’ Day celebration.
The stupendous performances by the group included depiction of episodes from the Indian mythology namely Mahishasur Mardini followed by Hiranyakashyapu Vadh and Sendra Dance (a hunting expedition). Moreover, the students danced to the awesome music played by the DJ, who played foot tapping songs.
