Ranchi : The Chief Secretary repeated Govt.ís commitment to provide required amenities to increase energy production.
He asked the entrepreneurs to establish solar plants in the state on Expression of Interest basis. He said that electricity purchase will be determined after approval of the proposal.
He said that the companies which have identified the land will be cooperated by the Govt. in the process of conversion.
Directing the officers he said that the companies already having MoU with the State Govt. will also have to undergo the new process.
He assured the representatives of the companies that land related matters will be sorted out in coordination with district level officers.
He said this while talking to representatives of the different companies in connection with installation of solar power plants in the state.
Representatives of seven companies, who expressed their desire to install 50 to 500 megawatt solar power plants in the state, were present in the meeting.
Chief Secretary conducted a high level review meeting with officers of different departments regarding availability of land, time-frame of administrative acceptance & rules of concerned departments for establishing solar power plants.
It was decided in the meeting that notifications will be issued by concerned departments by 15th September regarding all benefitting rules.
Time-frame also has been made regarding administrative approval at different levels. So far 16 applications have been received for solar power establishment.
Chief Secretary said that if a company proposes to establish solar power plant in the state, it should be evaluated by the committee before approval.
He said that govt. land will be provided to the bidders through reverse bidding. He directed the concerned department to prepare a detailed order paper & make form available online from 1st September.
Principal Secretary of Finance Department Amit Khare, Principal Secretary of Energy Department S.K.G.Rahate, Secretary of Agriculture Department Nitin Madan Kulkarni along with many other officers were present at the meeting.
