Sahebganj, July 22: Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 34 development schemes in Rajmahal, Sahebganj district. Addressing a gathering, he emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and empowering the state’s citizens. Soren highlighted the significance of these initiatives in shaping the future of the people and their generations.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister also distributed assets worth over Rs 38.80 crore to 10,141 beneficiaries. He introduced new welfare schemes aimed at women, promising special camps across the state for applications. The Chief Minister reiterated that the government’s efforts are not merely symbolic but are designed to bring long-term benefits to the public.
Soren acknowledged the unique historical, religious, and tourism potential of the Rajmahal area, which also faces significant challenges. He outlined plans to address issues such as river erosion and transportation, and proposed the development of an airstrip and ropeway to boost tourism.
In total, the Chief Minister inaugurated three schemes and laid the foundation for 31 more, with a combined value of approximately Rs 88.84 crore. The event was attended by Rajmahal MP Vijay Kumar Hansda, MLA Anant Ojha, and other prominent officials.
