Chief Medical Director of SE Railway visits Tatanagar

Jamshedpur: The chief medical director of South Eastern Railway Dr Puran Mal arrived at Tatanagar railway station on Friday to review health facilities being provided at the Tatanagar Railway Hospital.

In view of Dr Mal�s arrival, a delegation of Railway Men�s Congress, Chakradharpur Division, led by its convener Shashi Mishra met reached the station and accorded a warm welcome to him. The delegation members handed over a five-point memorandum to the director to seek better health facilities for the railway employees and their wards.

Dr Mal said that very soon Bramhananda Hospital will be made a referral hospital for Chakradharpur railway division.

He said the process was underway in this regard. He further said that the pathology investigation of railway employees will become cashless in all health units of the division in the next three months.

The railway employees and their family members will not have to spend money to avail the testing facilities in cashless mode, he said.

Dr Mal said that a new modern ambulance will be provided to Tatanagar railway authorities concerned very soon. He said that tenders will be floated to ensure cleaning of railway colonies and sprinkle anti-larva medicines. He sought proposals for creating posts of physiotherapists in Tatanagar and Chakradharpur.

The Men�s Congress members demanded that critically ill railway employees admitted to Tatanagar Railway Hospital should be referred immediately to Tata Motors Hospital. Dr Mal directed the hospital superintendent to fulfill the demand.
