
Jamshedpur: An executive meeting of the Chhotanagpur Passengers Association was held at United Club on Tuesday. The meeting was presided over by BN Dixit. In his address, he welcomed all the members present and thanked him for taking time out for the meeting.

Arun Tiwari, general secretary of the organization, made the members aware of past activities in view of the agenda.

The executive committee unanimously instructed the general secretary that in addition to the implementation of all its old main demands, especially the Tata-Ranchi new rail line, the demands of new trains, increase of trains and other demands should be raised.
�Executive Member Bajrang Lal Agarwal drew attention to the road traffic system in Jamshedpur. He stressed the need to take concrete steps to end the clutter on the streets of the city so that the traffic congestion being carried out by the auto, bus, cart and others, will get rid of the passengers. He also attracted the attention of the gathering that JNAC has a provision of 10-minute toll-free parking on all parking zones. This rule is not advocated with the intention of harassing people and forcibly charging them parking, which is not fair. They demanded strict action.

Mahender Kumar Jain, Secretary (Ranchi), demanded the metro-rail in Ranchi city like other capital cities. He described the metro rail as a suitable traffic option in view of Ranchi’s traffic system. In another note, he stressed on further improvement and justification of the parking system at Ranchi Airport. Right now, the prevailing system is causing a lot of inconvenience to the passengers, he said.
