Jamshedpur FC: Missed chances, overwhelming win

Jamshedpur, Oct. 29: Jamshedpur FC recorded its second win on the trot on October 29 when they brushed aside Hyderabad FC at JRD Tata Sports Complex to go on top of the ISL points table with six points. Jamshedpur has been famous for their fans presence since the first season and continuing the trend the football fanatics in the city have not disappointed as the JFC has started the third season with a bang.

20,539 people turned up at the Furnace on Tuesday and much to their delight the Men of Steel scored a convincing 3-1 win. Being a festive season the fans in large numbers were seen standing in queues much before the gates opened. The enthusiasm was electric like the first game when Jamshedpur FC made its debut on December 1, 2017.

Girls seemed more excited and were spotted buying the JFC jerseys, head gears outside the stadium and clicking selfies.

JFC t-shirts were also selling like hotcakes as citizens in large numbers specially the school students were spotted buying them from vendors outside the stadium.

Inside the stadium the atmosphere was thrilling as Jamshedpur FC started attacking from the first go. Jamshedpur FC failed to convert a number of sure shot goals in the first half, courtesy brilliant goalkeeping by Hyderabad FC’s Kamaljit Singh. Farukh Choudhary converted his team’s dominance into a goal in the 34th minute to give fans a moment to celebrate.

Marcelinho scored an unlikely equaliser in the 45th minute but Jamshedpur regained control after the break with goals from Aniket Jadhav (62′) and Sergio Castel (75′).
Event manager Devjoti Sanyal watching the match from the East Upper Stand said, “It should have been 4-0 in favour of Jamshedpur but the boys missed out on a number of chances in the first half. Anyways its a brilliant win which will help our Men of Steel gain more confidence for the tough match against Bengaluru FC.”
