Chhath puja materials distributed among 1001 devotees

Jamshedpur, Nov. 5: Jan kalyan Samiti distributed free winnowing basket (a shaped basket shaken to raise the chaff) along with fruits among 1001 devotees who observe and carry out the fast with full dedication near Hari Maidan in Baridih Basti Kadani Road on Saturday, November 5. Convener of the samiti, Bablu Jha provided the devotees with winnowing basket full of fruits and puja materials.

The event was inaugurated by patron of the samiti, Anand Bihari Dubey and President PN Jha. On the occasion Bablu Jha said, we all should provide support to the devotees with full devotion so that they could pray from the peace and prosperity of the state during the festival.

The puja materials was distributed from 11 am to 3 pm.

At the event social activists and workers of several political parties were present. Bablu Jha further informed that on the day of Usha Arghya (morning offerings) on Monday, devotees who observe fast will be provided milk, tea, snacks, incense sticks and other necessary items.

Samiti members said that the devotees will be provided free auto service to bring them from homes to ghats along with first aid, ambulance, divers and special arrangement for cleanliness. At the Seva camp, two soldiers of Indian army, Kanhaiya Kumar Sharma and Bhola Rai were felicitated.

Kanhaiya Kumar has fought the Kargil war while Bhola Rai has retired recently from Bhuj. Present on the occasion were Naveen Kumar, Virendra Jha, Chetan Rao, Rana Badku, Vijay Chandan Jha, Ranju Jha, Laddu pandey, Sanjay Singh Azad and others were present.
