Jamshedpur: A summer chess workshop organized by Chandan Chess Academy commenced at Tumbling Tortillos, CH Area Bistupur, with enthusiastic participation from budding chess players of the city. The workshop was inaugurated by Jayant Kumar Bhuyan, who formally launched the camp by making the ceremonial opening move on the chessboard.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhuyan shared valuable insights about the game and encouraged children to take part in more chess tournaments to enhance their skills and competitive experience. He highlighted the importance of regular practice, strategic thinking, and discipline in mastering the sport.
During the event, Chandan Chess Academy felicitated Bhuyan with a shawl and memento as a mark of respect for his contribution to the promotion of chess in the district. The workshop also marked the beginning of the CCA Summer Chess activities. Ruam Biswas Sarkar has been appointed as the Tournament Director, while Akshay Agarwal will serve as the Technical Director.
International Arbiter Chandan Kumar Prasad will conduct the workshop as trainer and chief arbiter, guiding participants through various aspects of chess techniques, tournament rules, and competitive play. The academy stated that the workshop aims to nurture young talent and provide a platform for aspiring chess players to improve their game during the summer vacation.
