Check Bounce Case Hearing Concludes for Ameesha Patel; Court Reserves Decision

Ranchi: The hearing in the check bounce case involving Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel concluded at the Ranchi Civil Court on Wednesday. Ameesha Patel’s legal representative presented arguments before JMFC Digvijay Nath Shukla, seeking permission for the cross-examination of the complainant’s witness, Ajay Kumar. Following the presentation of arguments from both sides, the court has reserved its decision.

The case revolves around a check bounce incident dating back to 2017, with Ajay Kumar Singh, the proprietor of Lovely World Entertainment, accusing Ameesha Patel of receiving Rs 2.5 crore for the production of the film “Desi Magic.” Allegedly, after the film was not produced, and the funds were not returned, Ajay Kumar Singh filed a fraud case against Ameesha Patel.

As part of the legal proceedings under CrPC 313, statements from both Ameesha Patel and her business partner, Kumar Grumar, are slated to be recorded in the court. Ameesha Patel had surrendered in the Ranchi Civil Court on June 17 in connection with this case.
