Charity House emerges overall champion at KSMS Sports Meet

Jamshedpur: The 31st Annual Sports Meet of Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) was held on Wednesday, at the Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium. The event showcased a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill development.

The ceremony commenced with a colorful march-past led by the School Cabinet and senior students, with red, green, yellow, and blue flags fluttering against the clear blue sky. Captain Amitabh, Head of Skill Development at Tata Steel Foundation, was the Chief Guest. A distinguished member of various national and state committees, Captain Amitabh has a storied career with the Indian Armed Forces, participating in notable operations such as OP-RAKSHAK and OP-VIJAY.

In his inaugural address, he emphasized the importance of sports and skill development, urging students to prepare for future opportunities. Following the hoisting of the school flag and the lighting of the sportsmanship lamp, the Chief Guest declared the event open.
The torch relay featured the school’s regional and national-level players, including Shubh Agarahari, A. Sagar, Khushi, and others. Students from grades III and IV performed an energetic drill display, while Karate and Yoga presentations wowed the audience with precision and grace. Special students competed in carom and chess tournaments, earning medals and certificates.

In the sporting events, Charity House emerged as the Overall Champions, with Hope House as Runners-Up. Peace House was awarded Best March-Past, while Harwinder (Class 12) and Khushi (Class 9) were crowned Best Athletes.

The day concluded with a prize distribution by Principal Nandini Shukla, followed by the National Anthem, marking the end of a successful 31st Annual Sports Meet. Cheers and celebrations echoed throughout, reflecting the spirit of unity and sportsmanship.
