Chaos at ADL Society AGM in Jamshedpur: Factional Clash Halts Proceedings, Police Intervene

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, Apr 20: The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of ADL Society, scheduled for Sunday at ADL Sunshine School, turned chaotic once again. Amidst ongoing internal conflicts, President Ishwar Rao’s faction tried to hold the AGM, which was opposed by General Secretary Gurunath Rao’s group. The situation escalated into a physical confrontation, leading to confusion and chaos outside the school.

Before the AGM could commence, the opposition faction locked the school gate, blocking entry. Tensions soon boiled over into a violent scuffle between the two factions. Police arrived at the scene and separated the groups, bringing the situation under control.

Gurunath Rao’s faction accused Ishwar Rao’s group of a lack of transparency, making unilateral decisions, financial irregularities and excluding several members from the AGM. They also criticized the failure to notify members in a timely manner.

In response, Ishwar Rao’s group denied the allegations, calling them baseless and false. They stated that the AGM was conducted with full transparency and accused the opposition of deliberately trying to disrupt the proceedings and tarnish their reputation. The long-standing internal conflicts have resulted in multiple court cases, with no permanent solution yet in sight.

Gurunath Rao further claimed that the previous AGM held last year was declared illegal by the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) and now the opposing faction is attempting to validate it through the current AGM.
