Jamshedpur, July 20: International Chess Day 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Tumbling Tortilos, C.H. Area, Bistupur, under the guidance of Chandan Chess Academy. The event brought together young chess enthusiasts to honour the timeless game that continues to inspire strategic thinking and mental discipline across generations and cultures.
The programme was hosted by Chandan Kumar Prasad, International Arbiter and Head Chess Coach of Chandan Chess Academy. The Chief Guest, Dr. Vamsi Uppalapati, Consultant Anesthesiologist and Assistant Professor at Tata Main Hospital, graced the occasion with his presence and encouraging words. He spoke about the significance of chess as a tool to enhance critical thinking, concentration, and decision-making, especially among children.

Guest of Honour Pragya Anand Agarwal, a dedicated social worker, and Nagasree Chalasani, a software professional, also attended the event and applauded the efforts of the academy in nurturing young talent.
The event saw participation from several students of the academy, including Souryadipta Sarkar, Nikunj Agrawal, Saanvi Gandhi, Monali Biswas, Purav Rushabh Gandhi, Abhijeet Singh, Vivaan Rahul Mittal, Kavya Sanghi, Vanya Sanghi, Anvi Agarwal, Vedika Dey, Sri Vihaan Uppalapati, Yukti Ashopa, Ansh Dey, Sri Vikhtath Uppalapati, Rian Rohal Gollapalli, Aarav Shaw, and Lakshya Ashopa.
