Seraikela, August 28: Former Chief Minister Champai Soren has tendered his resignation from both the primary membership and all positions within the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) immediately upon his return to Ranchi from Delhi. His resignation letter reflects deep personal anguish rather than mere political dissatisfaction.
In his heartfelt letter addressed to JMM President Shibu Soren, whom he refers to as “Respected Guruji,” Soren expresses his profound disillusionment with the party’s current direction and policies. He laments that the party, once a beacon of hope and dedication for its workers, has strayed from its foundational principles. Soren, who once traversed remote areas and fought for the party’s cause under Shibu Soren’s guidance, now feels that JMM has deviated from its original mission.
The resignation letter underscores Soren’s emotional struggle, describing his departure as a painful and difficult decision. He acknowledges the significant personal and political growth he experienced under Shibu Soren’s mentorship during the Jharkhand movement and beyond. Soren attributes the necessity of his resignation to the party’s current environment, which he feels lacks the platform for addressing his grievances, especially given Shibu Soren’s current absence from active politics due to health issues.
Soren’s resignation marks the end of a significant chapter in his political journey, and he has requested that his resignation be accepted with the hope that Shibu Soren will continue to serve as a guiding figure in his life.
