Jamshedpur: A 100-bedded old age home is soon going to be built in Bend village of Chakulia under Baharagora block. The foundation stone of the old age home was laid on Monday by the MLA of Baharagora Kunal Sarangi.
The MLA said the old age home would provide shelter to aged people either drive out of their homes by their near and dear ones or who have no one to look after them. He assured to extend every possible help to the officials concerned.
Also present on the occasion was Vidha Kishore Upadhyaya, general secretary of Maa Tara Educational and Welfare Trust. He said the old age home would be ready in a year. The construction work would start after Makar Sankranti. Two community halls would be built at first, he said.
Among those present on the occasion included Rajkumar Upadhyaya, Rajesh Pandey, Ashish Shukla, Ved Prakash Gupta, Hemant Singh, Dulari hembram and Mousami Mallik.
