Chakradharpur Bajrang Dal activist Kamaldev Giri murder case: Conspirator Satish arrested

Jamshedpur, Nov 23: West Singhbhum police arrested one Satish Pradhan from Baliya, Uttar Pradesh, in connection with the murder of Hindu leader Kamal Dev Giri of Chakradharpur, sources said.


Police said the accused was being brought to Jharkhand. They said the accused is one of the conspirators of Giri’s murder. However, the prime accused in the case, Zahid, is still at large. Several police teams are carrying out raids in Jharkhand and its neighbouring states to nab him, sources said.

Police said Satish is a resident of Kurulia, Chakradharpur.

Giri was killed in a bomb attack near Bharat Bhavan Chowk in Chakradharpur on 12th November last. A special task force (SIT) formed to probe the case had arrested two suspects, Gulzar Hussain alias Pintu and Matiur Rehman alias Danish, on 21st November last.

Police had identified eight persons as suspects in the murder case.
