Jamshedpur, Oct 4: The Central Bhuinyadih Area Sarvjanik Durga Puja Committee Pandal was today traditionally inaugurated jointly by Saraikela legislator Champai Soren and Sri Ramakrishna Mission�s Swami Madhavananda and Swami Ranjit Maharaj. The guests prayed for peace and prosperity of all forms of life.

Puja Committee Patron Dulal Bhuinya who welcomed the guests stated that a host of cultural programs had been lined up on all days of Durga Puja. Traditional forms of folk dances including Jhumar and Baul songs would be performed in the course of the cultural events. One of the main attractions of the cultural presentations would be on Maha Navami Day when Jhumar Samrat from Odisha Dipak Mahto and his team would perform Jhumar songs and dances.
Dulal Bhuinya also said that various competitive games and dances would be organized and the winning participants would be given prizes. A fair has been organized at the Puja Ground comprising attractive stalls laden with decorative items, items of daily household requirements and food stalls to mention a few. In addition there are giant wheels and merry-go-rounds to attract all segments of visitors.
The Pandal has been decorated with a set used during the making of Bahubali �2. The light and Pandal decoration has been done by Kattayani Light and craftsmen form West Bengal. The Durga Puja is being performed by the Committee since 1949. Bhog or consecrated food will be distributed on all three days of the Puja.
Other guests present during the inauguration included Kewal Krishna, Ratan Chakraborty, Ram Prasad Bhuinya, Kamal Kishore Singh and Madhusudan Goswami. The Committee members present during the inauguration included General Secretary Baldev Bhuinya, Nimai Mandal, Rabindra Bhattacharjee, Biplab Bhuinya, Khagen Mahto, Bhola Singh, Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi, Sukhdev Bhuinya, Indrajit Das, Swapan Karua, Amir Bhuinya, Pappu Singh, Ashok Pandey, Bunty Singh and other members.
