Chaibasa, Feb 8: Representatives of traders of West Singhbhum participated in the statewide meeting convened in Ranchi by the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries on Wednesday. It was chaired by Kishore Mantri, president of Jharkhand Chamber. The presidents and office-bearers of all 24 district Chambers of Jharkhand attended the meeting and unanimously decided to oppose the imposition of two per cent market tax on Mandis. It was decided to stop bringing in foodgrains to Jharkhand from other states. All traders were requested to join the agitation.
