Chaibasa, June 19: In a significant development, security forces have successfully thwarted a conspiracy orchestrated by Naxalite Maoists. On Monday, authorities discovered and recovered five improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and four spike holes, which had been strategically placed by the Naxalites in the forest and hilly regions surrounding Tumbahaka village, located within the Naxal-affected Tonto police station area of the district. The primary intention behind planting these explosives was to target security forces operating in the region. Prompt action was taken, and the bomb disposal squad skillfully defused all the explosives on-site, ensuring the safety of the area. Notably, several high-ranking leaders of the CPI Maoist Naxalite organization, including Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochu, Chaman, Kande, Ajay Mahto, Sagen Angaria Ashwin, along with their squad members, are known to be active in the Kolhan area, engaging in subversive activities. A dedicated campaign has been ongoing since January 11th to counter their disruptive actions and maintain the security and peace of the region
