Chaibasa: Maskal Foundation honors meritorious students

Chaibasa, June 13: The Maskal Foundation, based in Kamarhatu under the Sadar block, organized a felicitation ceremony to honor students who achieved first-class results in matriculation and intermediate exams. The event aimed to commend and encourage students who excelled in their academic pursuits. Rajkumar Ojha, President of the Chamber of Commerce, graced the ceremony as a guest, lauding the foundation for its initiative to motivate high-achieving students.

During the ceremony, Dobro Devgam from St. Xavier’s High School, who secured an impressive 89 percent in matriculation, was presented with a bicycle as a token of appreciation by the esteemed guests. Likewise, students who passed their intermediate exams with first-class distinctions, including Mukesh Devgam, Sarina Devgam, Damu Devgam, Varsha Devgam, Manisha Gope, Ramesh Gagarai, Munna Devgam, Aman Devgam, Ravi Devgam, Suman Devgam, Soma Devgam, and Jagarnath Bindani, received watches and certificates of recognition.

The ceremony was graced by notable personalities, including historian Paul Strummer from the Netherlands, President of the Kolhan Educational and Charitable Society Chandramohan Baidu, President of the Chamber of Commerce Rajkumar Ojha, President of the Rotary Club Ritesh Mundhra, and Dr. Dildar Purti, Assistant Professor at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University. These dignitaries, along with former Bhabha Atomic Research Center Mumbai employee Baleshwar Sinku, were presented with mementos by teacher Kriyam Biruli, on behalf of the Muskal Foundation, Kolhan Educational and Charitable Society, Rotary Club, and the Chamber of Commerce.

Rajkumar Ojha, as the guest of honor, commended the Maskal Foundation for organizing such a felicitation ceremony that uplifts and motivates children. Assistant Professor Dildar Purti emphasized the importance of continuous learning and encouraged students to pursue knowledge despite life’s challenges, noting that success is attainable with dedication and perseverance. Singh Singa Tiu, former Chief Controller of the Indian Directorate of Mines, highlighted how good education expands opportunities and enables individuals to serve society.

Netherlands-based historian Paul Strummer praised the program for appreciating children’s achievements, stating that it fosters a spirit of progress and continuous improvement among the younger generation. Baleshwar Singh, former employee of Bhabha Atomic Research Center in Mumbai, emphasized the significance of parents’ role in motivating their children to excel. Teacher Kriyam Biruli advised students who didn’t pass their exams not to lose heart and encouraged them to continue their studies with dedication to attain respectable positions. Ritesh Mundhra highlighted that when successful students receive recognition from society, it boosts their self-confidence and inspires them to continue performing well. The program featured a captivating dance performance by the girls from the Maskal Library, led by Jaymati Devgam. Teacher Vimal Kishore Boypai efficiently managed the stage operations throughout the event, ensuring its smooth execution.
