Chaibasa, April 2: The parents along with kids turned up in large numbers at polio booths in Chaibasa to get polio drops for the children on Sunday.
The polio immunization drive was inaugurated by Zilla Parishd chairperson Lalmuni Deogam at Chaibasa Sadar hospital. Lalmuni Deogam appealed the parents to come forward and help their kids get polio drops in order to eliminate the dreaded disease. A large number of ANM including health workers were engaged in the drive.
The polio eradication drive is a flag ship scheme of Jharkhand government health department. Present on the occasion were Civil Surgeon, SDO Sadar, Municipal executive officer.
