CGPC Pradhan surrenders in court, granted bail in lockdown procession case

Jamshedpur, Feb 5: Bhagwan Singh, the head of the Sakchi Central Gurudwara Management Committee in Jamshedpur, surrendered in court on Monday. The surrender is in connection to a case involving the unauthorized procession organized during the lockdown. Bhagwan Singh appeared before the First Class Judicial Magistrate, Sripriya, and was subsequently granted bail.

The court had issued an arrest warrant against Bhagwan Singh, the committee’s Pradhan, following a procession taken out without administrative permission. The procession, from Sakchi to Mango Khudiram Bose Chowk, occurred amidst the city’s lockdown measures. The FIR in this matter was filed on 7th November 2021, based on the complaint filed by Ramesh Prasad from Jamshedpur NAC.
