CGPC chief Bhagwan Singh’s mother passes away

Jamshedpur, Nov 12: Surjit Kaur, the 86-year-old mother of Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) chief Bhagwan Singh, passed away on Tuesday during treatment at Brahmanand Hospital in Tamolia. She had been ill for some time. Her death has been mourned by her family, including her sons Harjinder Singh, Bhagwan Singh, Jasvir Singh Shire, and Avtar Singh Tari. Public representatives, Gurdwara committees, Dharm Prachar Committee Akali Dal, Stree Satsang Sabha, and Naujwan Sabha, along with various other community groups, paid tribute to her.

Following the tribute, her last rites were performed at the Mango Swarnarekha Ghat, with several dignitaries present at the crematorium to offer their respects. Dr. Ajoy also paid tribute to the departed soul, expressing condolences and praying for peace for Surjit Kaur.
