
Jamshedpur, March 14: Tata Steel Centre for Excellence (CFE) organised a Heritage Walk today
for schools students from Hindustan Mitra Mandal Middle School, Kerala Public School (NML) and Kerala Samajam Hindi School.
The walk commenced from Sir Dorabji Tata Park. The structured walk covered five historical locations of Jamshedpur: Armoury Ground, P N Bose Memorial, Director�s Bungalow, United Club, and St. George�s Church. Eminent citizens of Jamshedpur like Dickey Mody (Ex-Tata Steel employee), and Ronald D�Costa (Hotelier and Social worker) were invited to speak to the students. They took the participants through the historical significance of every location and captivated them with interesting anecdotes and stories. A total of 40 students joined the walk along with their teachers.

The event was flagged off by the Chief Guest Madhulika Sharma, Chief, Corporate Sustainability, Tata Steel. She spoke about Sir Dorabji Tata and his contributions towards setting up of the Steel Plant, of facilitating sports, and in the development of the city of Jamshedpur.
The Heritage walk concluded at Centre for Excellence and the event was followed by a small quiz and breakfast.
