Jamshedpur, Feb. 24: The fourth edition of the Heritage Walk took place today with more than forty five participants, mainly from the Rotary Club, Inner Wheel and AIWC organisations of Jamshedpur. The walk covered five historical locations, Sir Dorabji Tata Park, Armoury Ground, P N Bose Memorial, Directors Bungalow, Bharucha Mansion and Boulevard Hotel. The Heritage Walk was flagged off by Educationist and social worker Shuvra Mukherjee.
Eminent citizens from Jamshedpur like Dickey Mody, Ronald DCosta and Lalita Sareen took the participants through the historical significance of every location and captivated them with interesting anecdotes and stories. The visit ended at Centre for Excellence(CFE).
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest, Shuvra Mukherjee said, it is a very good effort by Centre for Excellence because, many of us spent our lives in Jamshedpur, but, still dont know the history and the historical significance of different locations of the city. Keep up the good work! Wish you all a very good morning walk.
The photography club of Tata Steel supported the Heritage Walk by digitally capturing moments of the walk.
