Ranchi, June 30: Speaking on the occasion of Hul Divas at Bhognadih, the land of Sidho-Kanhu and Phulo-Jhano, JMM leader and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren criticized the BJP and claimed that the centre was conspiring against him and pushing for early assembly elections in the state to disrupt the governance. Soren alleged that the central government was attempting to prevent the state government from completing its term. “When we demanded the state’s due funds, I was imprisoned. We are no longer afraid of ED-CBI and jail. We will ensure that the development pace accelerates with the upcoming elections,” he asserted.

Hemant Soren also promised to introduce legislation that would secure local rights over Jharkhand’s mineral wealth, opposing any attempts to privatize the state’s natural resources. “These people want to sell our water, forests, and land. We will not let this happen,” he declared.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren emphasized the rapid development under the coalition government (JMM, Congress, RJD), highlighting initiatives such as pensions for women over 50 and government jobs for youths.

Earlier, Hemant Soren, along with Chief Minister Champai Soren and other leaders, including Kalpana Soren, garlanded the statues of Sidho-Kanhu and unveiled the statue of Virangana Phulo-Jhano in Sidho-Kanhu Park at Bhognadih in Barhet, Sahibganj district.

The leaders also paid tribute to Shahid Sidho-Kanhu at the Kranti Sthal in Panchkathia, where they inaugurated new schemes and laid foundation stones for various projects.
