Jamshedpur, June 9: The BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar unit organized a “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sammelan” (Developed India Resolve Conference) at the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce’s Parikh Auditorium in Bistupur on Tuesday to commemorate the completion of 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led central government.

Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines, Satish Chandra Dubey, attended the event as the chief speaker. The programme began with a welcome address by BJP District President Sanjeev Sinha, who highlighted the transformational changes witnessed across the country under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Addressing the gathering, Satish Chandra Dubey said that during the last 12 years, the Modi government had brought a fundamental change in the approach and functioning of governance by emphasizing service, good governance, and the principle of Antyodaya—ensuring that development reached the last person in society. He stated that the government’s commitment to improving the lives of the poor, farmers, women, youth, tribal communities, and marginalized sections was visible across the nation.

The Union Minister noted that India had achieved remarkable progress in economic growth, infrastructure development, digital transformation, national security, social inclusion, and the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Expressing confidence in the vision of “Viksit Bharat @2047,” he said the goal would be achieved through collective efforts and public participation.

Referring to Jharkhand, Dubey remarked that despite being rich in natural resources, several mining projects remained underutilized due to a lack of coordination and political will at the state level. He stressed that stronger cooperation between the state and central governments could unlock greater development opportunities for Jharkhand.

Member of Parliament Vidyut Baran Mahato said the Modi government had scripted a new chapter of development and good governance, achieving unprecedented progress in self-reliance, infrastructure, women’s empowerment, and farmers’ welfare over the past decade.

Jamshedpur East MLA Purnima Sahu highlighted the government’s efforts toward women-led development, stating that numerous schemes had empowered women socially, economically, and politically, from birth and education to skill development and self-reliance.

District In-charge Anil Modi conducted the proceedings, while District General Secretary and Programme Coordinator Rajiv Singh delivered the vote of thanks. The conference witnessed the participation of party leaders, workers, and prominent citizens from across the city.
