Jamshedpur, August: Time stood still as the 155 Achievers at Loyola School Telco’s 3rd Annual Prize Nite organized on Saturday, performed a breath taking candle march in a symbolic representation of enlightenment and knowledge that they had gained through their efforts in school to strengthen enrich their treasure-troves of wisdom and knowledge.
Loyola School Telco’s 3rd Annual Prize Nite was inaugurated by Chief Guest, DSE East Singhbhum, Nishu Kumari along with other dignitaries who included Fr Rector, K. M. Joseph, Fr Vinod Fernandes, Principal of Loyola School, Bistupur, Fr Gerry D’Souza, the Administrator, Vice Principal of Loyola Junior School, Bistupur, Vinita Ekka, the Principal of Loyola School Telco, Charanjeet Ohson, and the Moderator of the Pre-Primary section, Colleen Xavier.

The tone for the evening of excitement and expectation was set rolling with an absorbing prayer dance to invoke God’s blessings and express gratitude for this wonderful life. The program was anchored by teachers Amandeep Kaur and L Deepika whose manner of presentations made the entire event livelier and more engrossing.
Teacher Amandeep Kaur welcomed the guests and parents. Chief Guest, DSE Nishu Kumari, known for her sensitive concern for girl children through special care and support for them and their education, motivated the students to perform well in their studies and extracurricular activities so as to live up to the hopes and expectations of their families, communities and the nation.

School Principal, Charanjeet Ohson, speaking on the 3rd Prize Nite of Loyola School Telco, observed, “Awards are a way to encourage excellence in every endeavour towards character development and inculcate competitive spirit among the students.”
The Awards were presented to the best performers in eight categories that included Academic Excellence, Outstanding Student (in the realms of academic, co-curricular activities, leadership qualities), Remarkable Improvement (for gradual improvement in all spheres), ‘Student for Others’ (for kindness, selflessness, generosity and willingness to undertake responsibilities), Cent-percent Attendance, General Proficiency (for excelling in academics), Special Awards (for students securing highest marks in different subjects) and Braving All Odds (for the students who have faced challenges, had overcome difficulties with sheer determination and courage).
The Chief Guest, Nishu Kumari felicitated and congratulated the students on their achievements and advised them to become good human beings, caring for each other and being sensitive towards needy students.
The cultural bonanza comprised multi-faceted presentations themed on the country’s cultural splendour expressed through brilliant dance performances and a song that had a lyrical message of love and hope and the cycle of bonding growing stronger with each passing year.
