CBSE Class 12: Vandana tops St. Mary’s, scores 90.8 percent

Jamshedpur, May 21: St. Mary’s English High School students put up a good show in the CBSE Class 12 result declared on Saturday noon.

Vandana Kumari with 90.8 % marks topped the school in commerce section, while Kumar Vinayakam Gupta scored 80.2 % marks in the commerce followed by Manisha Agarwal, who scored 78 %.

In pure science, Amit Kumar was the school topper with 89 % marks followed by Rishu Kumar Choudhary 88.4 % and Kunal Kishore 87.8 %. In bio science, Anish Hansda and Rounak Bhageria were declared the joint school topper with 84.4 % marks, Mayank Raj was the second school topper with 84.2 % marks while Kumari Ankita Mahato was third with 82.2 % marks.

Taking about the result, Fr. David Vincent, principal of the school, said, �I am satisfied with the overall result but the science students� percentage got down due to tough mathematics paper, while commerce students had to battle the economics paper, which was also very hard.�

He added, �I would like to thank each and every teacher and student who has put in a lot of hard work and would like the performance to improve for better next year.�
