Jamshedpur, May 2: Students of Steel City came out with flying colours in the class 12th exams of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), whose results were declared on Thursday. In Jamshedpur, Harshit Agarwal from DAV Public School, Bistupur scored the highest with 485 marks.

“I am really happy with my result and I give my teachers and especially my sister who helped me achieve this. Now my next target is to crack JEE Advanced,” said Harshit.
Bhruti Uchhwas Sethi from DAV Bistupur was the city topper in bio science scoring 96.6%.
In commerce also Shubra Anand from DAV Public School Bistupur was the commerce topper in Jamshedpur with 95.8% marks.

In Jamshedpur around 4,000 students had appeared for the Class XII examinations from 12 steel city schools and neighbouring areas.
“We are very happy with the performance of our students. As it is there was much hue and cry about moderation policy this year but I am happy about the overall results this year as it was expected,” said an official of Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya.
Revealing his success formula, Harshit said that study on a regular basis and work regularly, for that helps ease the pressure as the exams approach.
CBSE class XII of Bihar and Jharkhand region acquired a total pass percentage of 66.73 a lot less than its national pass percentage of 83.40 per cent. This year too girls in the Bihar & Jharkhand performed far better than boys securing a pass percentage of 76.08 percentage as compared to 61.57 per cent boys.
On the other hand Pragya Singh, principal of DAV Public School, said that it is the hard work plus passion and dedication for achieving is important.
Students of the city proved their merit in the CBSE examination rejoiced along with the school authorities. School campuses and cyber cafes were choc-a-bloc soon after the results got declared. Students from the city have high scoring performances in the class 12 examination.
