Jamshedpur, June 3: St. Mary’s English High School students came out with flying colors in the CBSE Class 10 exam, the results of which were declared on Saturday afternoon. According to the principal of the school, 12 students scored 10 CGPA.
Two students Siddhi Mishra and Ashutosh Kashyap were suffering from chicken pox when they appeared for the exam but the disease couldn’t hamper their guts and will as they scored perfect 10 CGPA.
A total of 180 students appeared for the exam of which 7 students got 9.8 CGPA, 15 students scored 9.6 CGPA, 52 students got 9.4 CGPA, 71 students scored between 8 and 9.2 CGPA while 23 students scored between 6 and 7.8 CGPA.
Some of the special cases include Deyashi Kanjibillya, a sports personality of St. Mary’s school who has won many national and state level badminton tournaments. Resident of Kadma, Deyashi scored 7 CGPA while continuing with her practice.
A student Ayush Kumar Singh took the exam as her mother expired few months before the exam. Resident of Kadma, Aysuh scored 8.2 CGPA.
Resident of Farm Area Kadma, Sourav Deo who is a thalassemia patient scored 6.8 CGPA.
Another sports personality Ajay Karua who has won many medals in football scored 8 CGPA.
Riddhi Mishra, a resident of Agrico suffered from chicken pox before the examination and had to battle the disease during the board exam preparations and he scored 9.8 CGPA.
Fr. Puthumai Raj, principal of the school, said, “I am satisfied with the overall result but expected more students with 10 CGPA. The students and teachers have worked hard and hope the students excel in their future endeavors.”
The students who scored 10 CGPA include Shruti Goyal, Laxmi Mardi, Aman Kumar, Ayush Poddar, Koylada Homi, Priyanka Sharma, Siddhi Mishra, Ayush Ranjan, Anurit Dey, Sourav Kumar Singh, Ashutosh Kashyap and Shruti Sahay.
