CBI court rejects RK Agrawal’s bail plea

Ranchi: The special court of Central Bureau of Investigation rejected the
bail plea of businessman RK Agrawal in connection with the horsetrading allegations of the 2011 Rajya Sabha election.

After hearing the argument of both sides, the court of special judge RK Choudhary had kept its
order reserved.

Agrawal is in jail since October 2013 last in this case. The Income Tax department had seized
Rs 2 crore from a vehicle reportedly belonging to a relative of Agrawal from Namkum on the day of Rajya Sabha election on 31st March, 2012.

The election was cancelled late evening and re-conducted on 3rd May the same year.

The CBI has filed the chargesheet against Agrawal in this case.
