Cash looted from bank staff on Hata-Jadugora route

Jamshedpur: Unidentified criminals looted cash worth Rs 30,800 at gunpoint from one Varun Dhule, an employee of Bandhan Bank, Hata branch, near Gudra river in Potka police station area on Wednesday. They also looted several bank documents, police said.
Sources said the incident took place on the Hata-Jadugora route in broad day light when Dhule was returning from Kalikapur after collecting money from several people. Near the river, two motorcycle-borne youths intercepted him and snatched his bag containing cash, mobile phone and documents.
After committing the crime, the culprits decamped through the same route. Dhule lodged an FIR with the Potka PS in this connection. He said the culprits threw his mobile phone before leaving the scene.
