Basti Vikas Samiti felicitates shoppers

Jamshedpur: Members of Basti Vikas Samiti, Burmamines, launched a campaign against plastic at Burmamines Market on Wednesday. They felicitated shoppers carrying cloth bags by giving them roses. The shoppers were requested to use only cloth bags and abstain from using plastic bags and hampers. Pamphlets were distributed among the people with the view to create mass awareness on the hazards caused by plastic bags.
The outfit patron Ram Babu Tiwary said the only way to conserve the environment was to say no to plastic. He said people should quit using plastic materials in daily life.
Among those present on the occasion included Khemlal Choudhary, Deepak Jha, Dinesh Singh, Ritesh Jha, Rameshwar Choudhary, Suraj Kumar, Ajay Singh Binod Jha and Raj Kaur.
